Feeding rats with glucose or fructose for 65 days caused an enhanced lipogenesis in liver
and adipose tissue. The level of incorporation of labelled acetate into liver and serum
triglyceride was also high. There was no statistically significant difference between the
results in glucose and fructose fed animals.
